Expanding our mission
We felt led to expand our mission to encourage children facing cancer and other medical valleys. In our latest print run of The Valley book, we updated the back cover to read: “To help encourage children facing the valley.” “God will transform the valley of trouble into a gateway of Hope” (Hosea 2:15).
A little more of my story
I was born, premature while in my mother’s womb (in utero), an ultrasound led the doctor to believe that I would not survived. I was small But God was Mighty! they told my parents I had a stroke. God brought me through. As a baby it took me longer to walk so I rolled my way through it. In pre K I had speech therapy so I could make sense of words and pronounce things it took me forever to read a book and to write things. And I had double vision due to the stroke so all lines would come to me at once. If someone read a book to me I had no clue what it said telling me what happing in the story I don't know. I had homeschooling programs I had horse back riding therapy went to brain centers as a child to a teen I was almost place in a Special needs class in high school God made a way for me to be with the class. Praise God for the brain centers who helped me heal from double vision, learning skills, cognitive skills, it was a process I am doing so well. We expanded our mission to help children facing a stroke, And children with special needs because I can relate to this.
We found out all the test came back I had a stroke and it causing me to have OCD tendencies. As I went through OCD a giant in front of me I felt like David and Goliath. God put it on my heart to expanded our mission to help children with facial abnormalities to give them the Real truth what God says about them LOVE, FORGIVEN, TREASURED, A GIFT FROM GOD and more than ABLE! we believe this for every child.“Your word is like a lamp for my feet and a light for my way” (Psalm 119:105).
We expanded our mission also to spinal cord injures because God put it on our heart after what my grandpa faced as his encourager to help cheer him on through his spinal cord injury. I found children going through spinal cord injures and we gave them our book and puppy to.
